How to Submit

  • Complete the online application, keeping in mind that you cannot save or edit your entry once it is submitted. Be sure to review the above checklist before you begin.

  • Submit a PDF presentation that is a maximum of 3 pages in length, using a minimum 12-point font. The content may include both text and images, but must not contain any faces or names. If your project uses the scientific method, it must be tested; if it follows the engineering design process, it must be physically or digitally constructed. Please note that theoretical projects will receive lower scores.

  • Upload Profile Picture/Press Photos. The photos should only feature you, with no other individuals. These images, along with your project information, may be used for public promotion but will not be shared with Round 1 judges.

  • Submit a video. Get a head start on Round 2 by uploading 90-second video explaining your project and what one could expect to experience in D.C. if you are chosen to present at the Festival. Note: your video submission will only be reviewed if you advance to Round 2 as a finalist.
